i probably won't have time to update before i leave again (gotta be at kingsford-smith at 6.30am on thursday morning!), so here it is.

got meself a nice new 65L pack, looks like it will comfortably fit 2 weeks of clothing in it. don't know about seven million other things people have asked me to bring, but to hell with them! the hell i say! seriously, look at this (two of us are meeting four others who are already overseas in india). it started with 'can you bring this mobile phone to A? she's lost hers. and these extra malaria tablets' (fair enough, ok). Then, 'can you guys bring the gifts for the people we're staying with? thanks.' (again, fair enough, why would they want to cart heaps of gifts intercontinentally?) then, 'can you do me a favour? can you buy me a copy of mario puzo's omerta? i left B's copy on the train and she'll kill me. oh, and C wants a pair of thongs.' (pushing it, but kinda funny, so all right). then, 'can you bring these rolls of film and a couple of pairs of socks to B?' (uhhh... okkk.. only 'cause it's a mum who asked, but god, where there are tourists, there is film to buy. socks? are. dirt. cheap. in. asia.) and the crowning glory.... 'can you bring a lint brush when you get over here? we're having eastern european fluff problems.' What. The. Fuck. That's the end of it! I reply, 'you won't be having eastern european fluff problems in the subcontinent of india! you must be insane! i'm not bringing a lint brush. see you soon, sans brush' to which i received 'no, there's fluff all over our clothes from the warm clothes'.

three words and mild alliteration. Fuck the fluff. who cares what you look like when you're travelling?! I sure as hell don't! Lordy!

anyway, i had another bad day at work, but only because SOME people are BABIES when they get into bad moods. well, that's all i'm putting it down to. and i had so much work to do. fuckin'.

i traipsed around our street yesterday at 10pm at night in my pjs, with a tripod, camera, and cable release button. checking out my lowlight skills... and i got them developed today - they're not bad! some really nice stuff. lots of (done heaps before but still cool) lines of light from passing cars at 30sec shutter speeds. and it's great seeing midnight purplish blue cloud detail. flashes suck arse. i'm going to do more and hopefully improve. anyway. off on thursday morning. should be fun. now to pack. see you in 2.5 weeks... hoping the pingu baseball google hits will keep my sitemeter average up! ;)
