< two times delta has to be a good thing... right? | posted at 8:47 pm on June 05, 2003 >

i'm kind of sick of nice people asking about how i am after the accident, i mean yes that's nice that you care and all but i am watching quality tv (read: charmed) and it was two weeks ago. geddoveriddalready.

i don't really mean that, but i'm sick of going 'no, no, i'm ok, no, i'm fine, really' over and over again to different people... argh.

i still haven't started that essay despite good intentions. i feel like submitting three pictures and just captioning it all with 'a picture is worth a thousand words'. however, somehow i don't think it's going to pass me.

i also believe the topic i've chosen is overly hard (comparing old german film about the baader-meinhof group with the 2003 outlook on terrorism, made harder by the fact that the baader-meinhof website has been taken off the net by the administrator (probably because of that same 2003 outlook on terrorism), i chose it because i thought it would ve really interesting to explore, now i'm so lazy exploring seems passe), i might change it. maybe compare the cinematic styles of any two directors studied on this course will be easier. let's say, hitchcock and polanski? truffaut and godard (too easy)...? wong-kar wai and wayne wang?

perhaps the extremely easy comparison of all that heaven allows against the remake far from heaven... except that i haven't seen the latter, but work has an advanced copy of the dvd, maybe i can borrow it. ahhh fuck. i have four days to complete this... i think i'll go with the last question -- i've already studied all that heaven allows extensively, oh, this is so boring, i know.

my editor gets free dvds and cds almost every day, you think it's cool, don't you? well, i gave him his latest package and said 'you get all the presents', he made me stop and look at what he actually got - and it was the take 40 platinum album -- featuring britney's remake of i love rock and roll as well as delta goodrem's born to try. the next cd he got was 'music featured in neighbours' (not to mention the special edition dvd) so needless to say he now has delta on two cds. still think it's that cool?

speaking of whom his date was apparently 'pleasant' last night but he something something - i was eavesdropping, ok - wants to 'it's not you it's me' it all because he's not ready, or some such thing, whatever... i like how i know everything about this company just by keeping sharp. so on top of it all. the quiet one has ears and eyes.
