< as if i was a marionette | posted at 9:13 pm on May 28, 2004 >

i'm sitting here, mindlessly surfing the net while waiting for the two computers next to me to scan, scan, fucking scan.

was trying to be conservative (only had two cds which means about 12 scans) when i realised i had my laptop on me, so hooked it up to the ethernet and now i'm going scan-crazy.

and i mean crazy. there is nothing more boring in the world than scanning. truly. gawd.

i saw a really great play last night at the belvoir. you should all see it before it finishes on the 30th. ok, it's probably logistically hard, but it was so moving. john howard should see it. so should philip ruddock. it was the retelling of a family's story - a family held in a detention centre and eventually deported. when a 15 year old boy is telling the audience that it is not hard to sew your lips together when you need to - you numb them first with ice and it's not the needle but the thread that hurts - you can't help but cry. i could go on about this forever but there is something wrong with the 'n' key on this keyboard and it is driving me INSANE.

in other news, my life is uneventful. i start designing the mag from the august issue - in probably about a month. so that is good. that will be creatively stimulating.

i have nothing more, just nothing more.
